Phil Doleman (ukulele, guitar) and Ian Emmerson (ukulele) have built a reputation as entertaining, playful, engaging performers, as well as being considered two of the finest exponents of the ukulele. In their original compositions and interpretations of standards, they take in jazz, folk and roots, both songs and instrumentals and seem to have a musical 'telepathy' which allows them the freedom to stretch out and really play, in every sense of the word!

Their debut EP, 'Turn' is available on CD and as an mp3 download (from the shop page), and on iTunes.
"Whilst no one would have been surprised by the quality of their musicianship I for one was impressed by its range and by the quality of the songwriting"
Mike Jones, promoter,  The Queen's Head

"Ian and Phil played their ukuleles at a virtuoso level that was often jaw droppingly fast and made you question how fingers that big could move so dextrously on such a tiny instrument."
Edward Stills, The Belper News (click for full review)

"You two are great musicians who use your talents deftly, not to show off but to entertain"
Jim, organiser of the North Wales Ukulele Gathering

"They transcend the limitations of the ukulele."

George Hinchliffe, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain
